Legends roll out for Atlas at Cape Town Cycle Tour

Western Cape Premier Alan Winde, Springbok Legends and Atlas Rugby Champions Percy Montgomery and De Wet Barry, led a Thirsti sponsored Atlas team over the challenging Cape Town Cycle Tour course on March 8th 2020.

Each is a strong advocate for Atlas’s rugby based appraisals to child development, and have seen and experienced the uplift that Atlas projects provide to bits and girls at home and overseas.

We thank you all for your support raising money, coaching and inspiring the kids we serve.

Liv Vs White Collar Boxing

I am one of Ed's older sisters and his wonderful friends and family continue to try new ways of raising money for the Atlas Foundation and Tanzania Rugby Development Program. My next challenge is a White Collar Boxing Match on the 24th March, something I think Ed would find absolutely hilarious and be so proud of me for. Human Rights Day in South Africa

Youth Day brings kids together in Masi

Tuesday 16th June was Youth Day in South Africa and our coaches brought a small crowd of children together in the Community Square at Masiphumelele to engage with them for a few hours and provide a small hot snack after their activities. All children and coaches adhered to social distancing and hand washing measures throughout the day's activities.

Team Talk - Kenya

In rural Kenya there is little gender parity in primary education and many fewer girls access secondary education. In 2011 many girls in this region were leaving primary school early to be married or after becoming pregnant. Team Talk takes a fresh approach by using TAG rugby alongside classroom sessions to address gender equality in rural Kenyan schools.

We are delighted to announce that the Atlas Foundation has granted funding for three years to the South Coast Pirates in Kenya to deliver its schools programme.
