The Closure of Front Row Club

We have made the difficult decision to close the Front Row Club. The last 18 months have been a difficult time for many of us and Atlas has not been immune to this. The need from those who rely on us has never been greater, at the same time raising funds has proved to be ever more challenging. Whilst we have been delighted so many of you have taken up membership, we have not reached the numbers we need for it to be sustainable going forwards.

Over the coming months we will be talking to you about a range of ways you can support the vital work of Atlas - from our upcoming Christmas appeal, through to treks, cycle rides, dinners and more. The simplest way is to continue with your regular gift. To do this, you need to do absolutely nothing, just feel great that you are supporting children growing up in incredibly challenging environments. Children like 13-year old Charles, who I met on my recent visit to Kenya. He, his parents and four siblings live in a small single roomed home in Kibera, the largest urban slum in Africa.  With no school to go to, Charles used to spend his days playing in and around the open-sewers. With an alcoholic father and a mother struggling to cope, he would often go days without a hot meal. Thanks to your generosity, our local partners have enrolled Charles in an excellent school, he has two proper meals a day, regular health checks and is a rising star on the rugby pitch. He still faces huge challenges, but at least he has a glimmer of hope for a different future.

If you don’t feel able to continue supporting Atlas, we totally understand and thank you dearly for everything you’ve done. If you wish to cancel your donation, please contact Ella - [email protected] who can help.

Thank you again for your support of The Atlas Foundation and Front Row Club.
