In Feb 2018 we lost an absolute gentleman and a Swansea University rugby son. I will never forget the day i received the message from the S&C Coach from Oxford Uni RFC of the passing of Saffa. I hadn't spoken to Saf for a while but had tracked his successful rugby career over the last couple of years.

I had had the pleasure of playing with him for a few years in University, which were the best times of my rugby career. Playing with your course mates every Wed all over the country was something very special. The highs and lows, the nights out and the hangovers all contributed to a great experience of University Rugby. The highs for us came in winning Varsity in 2010 & 2011 at the Principality Stadium.

He was a very sociable guy and made friends wherever he went. He was a kind, caring generous personality that touched so many people in Swansea and further afield.

FUNDRAISING THROUGH IRONMAN WALES 2022

After a number of cancellations due to the pandemic, thousands of pounds spent, hundreds of hours committed and many sacrifices made we are finally here!

I would like to raise this money to help fund the heart screening (via Calon Hearts / CRY) for young people in Swansea. We are currently in talks with Saffa's family, the foundation and Swansea Uni to put a plan in place to achieve this.

Rest up big man and thank you for the fond memories! I will be thinking of you when i am on the course on Sunday the 11th!

Please donate what you can!

Thanking you
