I’ve accepted the challenge to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats to fundraise for the “Richmond Heavies!” This iconic ride will cover 960 miles and 52,000ft elevation in just 9 days, including 9 nights under canvas and the delights of the reliable British weather!

The Richmond Heavies (through their Foundation) aim to prevent avoidable early death by providing cardiac defibrillators to sports clubs. The Foundation has supplied defibrillators and invaluable training to 15 community rugby clubs across 13 different counties. With your support we want to raise £40k to provide 30 more.

I’m passionate about these miraculous devices having trained patients through cardiac rehabilitation - who would not be here without them. I am excited and delighted to have this epic opportunity. Please sponsor me to support community grass roots sports clubs to have life-saving training and essential kit.

I’ve set my personal target at £5k (£5 a mile). So if there is a section of the route that you have a personal connection with, please ‘buy’ those miles and I’ll salute you as I cycle through... Or maybe ‘buy’ the toughest climb and I’ll sing your name at the top of the Col!

I’m in a team of 10 riders - all with very personal stories that will make it both a physical and emotional journey. Please support us in our challenge of +100 miles a day for nine days to support the Richmond Heavies and the fabulous Foundation.
