The Lion Cub 7’s has been created to maintain the physical, psychological and social benefits of rugby throughout the summer months when the fifteens season is over.

The team’s concept is the brainchild of youth academy player Arun Watkins. Arun initially came through the ranks of Dorking RFC minis, to represent some of the UK’s leading academies including Wasps, Harlequins, London Scottish, Henley College and Epsom College A’s to name but a few.

The team pulls players from club and academies, but is inclusive to all, our aim is to ensure that the game is assessable to everyone, and is continuing the human and society benefits that are so well recognised from regular play. As a newly fledged team, we are looking for donations to fund kit, essential equipment for training and matches, plus travel assistance to long-distance tournaments which can be a struggle for people in education, out of work or on low incomes.

We have included the official sponsorship pack so if you would like to sponsor the team in any capacity, please do get in touch. However, if you would simply like to support the good work of the Lion Cub 7’s, please click on the pink donation button.
