Atlas has committed to helping build a modern and vital community centre in the heart of Lilongwe, Malawi. Working with our charitable partners, Bhubesi pride, Atlas has helped fund the acquisition of land on which the centre will be built.

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. For decades, it has ranked in the highest infant mortality, lowest GDP per capita and highest rates of curable disease such as Malaria. It is vitally important that work is done for the children of Malawi to ensure that social change can be brought to local communities.

The centre will be a focal point children to come to play rugby and come together. Alongside this there will be a feeding programme that will ensure the children are receiving adequate nutrition. It will be one of the first of its kind to come to this area of the country and will also have accommodation for travelling volunteers to come and help the children of the community.

Thanks to the rotary club of Lilongwe, who have given incredible support to the project, we have been given the resources and funds to dig bore holes in the area and have a perimeter of trees around the plot.
