Take a look as the Argentinian Ambassador hosted us at his residence to raise funds for our projects in Argentina with a Q&A with Argentina International Prop Juan Figallo and England International Prop Mako Vunipola.

Chaired by ex-England Fly Half Les Cusworth, who now runs all our projects in Argentina, the two Saracens players took answered questions about why they started playing rugby, what rugby means to each of them, and why they both wanted to send money back home (to Salta, Argentina and Tonga respectively) through Atlas funds and projects.

Following the initial questions, they then fielded questions from the audience about each of their experiences at the Rugby World Cup in Japan. The grandeur was added to the night by the surprise presence of former Argentina Fly Half and rugby legend Hugo Porta and Wasps, England and British and Irish Lions second row Simon Shaw.

Following the Q&A session there was a reception at where guests had the pleasure of mingling with the international stars and the opportunity to get some free Simon Shaw Rugby balls signed as well as the chance to taste some delicious traditional Argentinian canapés.

With the Ambassador, Carlos Sersale, retiring from his position, the evening was made extra special as we celebrated his enthusiastic commitment to Atlas and his support of projects across Argentina. He, and his wife Linette, were thanked with gifts from the Foundation and we proudly announced that he would be joining us as an Atlas Ambassador for Argentina.

Thanks to our champion speakers, the ambassador and his wife, everyone who came and all the people who helped to raise £7k for
projects in Argentina! Your donations will truly make a huge difference to the kids in the villas in Salta, and Buenos Aires!
