Atlas Golf Day returns in full swing

We held our annual golf day at Kingswood Golf and Country Club in Surrey on Friday 24th June. Although we were able to hold the day last year, Covid restrictions were still in place, so it was great to have the full programme of activities back up and running.

There were perfect conditions for golfing and we were delighted to host 23 four-balls. There were some stand out performances including from Atlas Trustee, James Cameron, who had a hole in one on the 7th hole. Team Neame, led by Atlas Trustee Giles Hilton, came out on top with a dazzling 95 points. Last year’s winners, Refinitiv, came a close second with 94 points. Congratulations to Jack Peedell and Richard Boddie, who were the winner and runner up respectively.

It was a great fundraising day for Atlas, with the raffle and auction raising thousands to support some of the world’s most disadvantaged children. Among the prizes raffled off were signed bottles of gin and whiskey by the Prime Minister, a boat trip with four international players and signed British and Irish Lions kit by Atlas and Lions Chairman, Jason Leonard.

A big thank you must go to Atlas Ambassador, Neil Blewitt, who organised and oversaw the day. Thank you for all your efforts, Neil. We’d also like to thank the fantastic team at Kingswood Golf and Country Club for their continued support of our golf day. A big thank you to all our sponsors for their generous donations and support of Atlas.

It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the day and supporting our charity. We hope to see you again next year.
