News Atlas Peloton sweeps up 100 miles 70 riders including five internationals from four nations rode in the Atlas Peloton on June 2nd, and raised over £10,000. The riders started from their private start gate at the head of the sportive at 10:20 in bright sunshine and brighter shirts. The Atlas team included Jason Leonard (ENG), Ollie Phillips (ENG), Alistair Hargreaves (SAR), Peter Rogers (WAL) and Rob Henderson (IRE). We were delighted to welcome our largest entry of women riders this year, one of whom was the first rider home. Official timings on the ToC website. See them rolling off the start ramp Sunday Race Day Atlas has a few super sporty supporters who went off in the Race category, followed by the Peloton in the Sportive, some cycling 67 miles, some braving the 100 miler. There seem to have been many parties the night before, rugby's idea of race preparation. And the chamois cream was a new experience for some. There was one breakdown on the road, Alistair Hargreaves powered his bike so hard it broke. Everyone else made it to the finish and a welcome drink in the VIP enclosure. Just about to roll out...
