Most of our children in Southern Kenya live in desperate poverty with little access to clean sanitation or any decent education. As a result, many children fall helplessly into gangs, crime, drugs and alcohol in their early years, further worsening their circumstances.

South Coast Pirates Academy was founded in 2013 to change this. It brought the game of rugby, a game not previously known, into communities where deprivation was rife.

In teaching the values of the game to local children it has transformed the lives of hundreds.

While COVID-19 restrictions have meant they have not been able to get back into schools just yet, they have continued to deliver practices to children on local community pitches. Today we received the following pictures from training on the local pitches in Ukunda.

We are proud to support this fantastic organisation.
