Formalisation of Atlas South Africa The Atlas Foundation is delighted to announce that we have formalised a South African office for our Charity. With Atlas representation in UK, Ireland, Wales, USA and France this now extends to South Africa where we have been active with charity programmes and grants since 2016. John Smit, former Springbok Rugby Captain who played for the Springboks in 111 tests, beat the British & Irish Lions in 2009 and won the Rugby World Cup in 2007, is the Champion of Atlas SA along with SA Ambassadors Stefan Terblanche, Joel Stransky, Matt Stevens, Joe Pietersen and global ambassador, Bob Skinstad. Look out for these iconic sportsmen representing Atlas across Southern Africa with their commitment to uplifting and empowering young boys and girls through the team culture and spirit of rugby. The Atlas office will be led by Sue Anderson, who will be instrumental in placing the spotlight firmly on the Foundation and spearheading fund raising initiatives with the SA rugby-loving corporate and business community. Fundamentally involved with the Cape Town 10s; sporting legends representation; and a management role at Old School Group, Sue is well versed to direct the collaborative power that stems from the exceptional rugby ‘brotherhood’ of giving back, mentorship and friendship.
