Happy International Women’s Day!

Every year on March 8th people come together to celebrate International Women’s Day. It is a day to globally recognise female achievement and a call to action to stand up for women’s rights and gender equality.

In many of our projects around the world, we find that girls are not granted the same rights, privileges, and access to opportunity as their male counterparts. Our projects work to challenge these inequalities and ensure that every child is given an equal chance to thrive. Our girls now remain in school longer and are empowered to make their own decisions.

One way gender inequality plays out in our everyday life is through stereotypes. This includes gender stereotypes in sports such as rugby, where discrimination happens even at the highest level.

Rugby is not a gender and here at Atlas we continue to work hard to make the game as inclusive as possible.

Atlas projects use the power of rugby to help disadvantaged kids of any gender work towards a better future.

If you believe in giving every child an equal opportunity to thrive and believe in what we are doing, then get involved!

Choose to challenge. Here at Atlas, we do more than commit to call out inequality, we work to tackle it!
