It was great to see Atlas's Rugby Pitch in Masiphumelele, South Africa put to great use for Heritage Day.

Heritage Day is an important day in South Africa, wherein Afrikaners spend time recognising and celebrating the cultural wealth of their rainbow nation.

It was wonderful to see the Ocean View and Masiphumelele communities coming together to celebrate this. There really is no better way to bring people together than through a good game of rugby.

Youth Day brings kids together in Masi

Tuesday 16th June was Youth Day in South Africa and our coaches brought a small crowd of children together in the Community Square at Masiphumelele to engage with them for a few hours and provide a small hot snack after their activities. All children and coaches adhered to social distancing and hand washing measures throughout the day's activities.

Ed Cooper Memorial Fund

Ed was a big personality who lived life to the full, was loved dearly by his family and friends, and is missed hugely by all who knew him. He was a talented sportsman who enjoyed playing both codes of rugby and cricket. Following Ed’s death in 2016, this Memorial Fund was established to honour his memory.
Atlas South Africa

Atlas South Africa was founded in 2018 after a successful Atlas Trek to Botswana and Zimbabwe attended by South African Rugby Champions. Since then two successful rides in the Cape Town Cycling Tour as well as six thriving projects have made a fantastic start for Atlas South Africa.
