India have just held their national under 18’s rugby 7’s tournament in the city of Patna, in the north of India. This was a State level competition with teams travelling from the length and breadth of the country to take part.

Three players from Khelo Rugby’s programme in Bengaluru were selected to play for the Karnataka State Team – Mukesh, Kavya and Karthik. The West Bengal state team had 24 team members, 19 of which had come from Khelo Rugby.

Khelo Rugby uses rugby to engage and inspire children, and uses the game as a catalyst for health, education and inclusion. It's great to see so many children enjoying and playing the game, as well as record numbers entering further education.

Congratulations to everyone that took part!
