The Inner City Rugby of Nashville programme decided to use a grant from Atlas to give back to the community. The project gives children from underprivileged backgrounds a focus away from school, which can often be a challenging environment for them. Rugby is used to not only give the children fun and enjoyment, but to also teach them the importance of conflict management and receiving feedback as well as instilling the importance of education and graduating.

This year, for their Fall Project, the children decided to give back to their community and wanted to provide Thanksgiving dinners to families in need, some of whom are their classmates. The children were responsible for organising and co-ordinating the collection, packaging and delivery of over 100 Thanksgiving meals. The programme hopes that this will now become an annual benefit to the community of Nashville.

It is great to see the impact on the community that these young players are having, giving back to those in need.
