The Atlas Foundation is delighted to announce that the Atlas DigiBus, in partnership with Cognizant, has been handed over to the Vusa Rugby & Learning Academy in Cape Town!

The Atlas DigiBus has been proudly handed over to the Vusa Academy in Cape Town. The Atlas DigiBus is a mobile digital classroom, equipped with Wi-Fi, laptops, screens, cameras and solar panels to make it self-sustainable.

Many children across the world have no access to technology in their learning environment. The Atlas DigiBus will give children from five schools in Langa the opportunity to learn the digital and STEM skills needed for the modern world. The approved curriculum includes coding, maths and IT.

The Atlas DigiBus is a safe, purpose-built environment for children to learn and develop skills that give them the chance to thrive.

The Atlas Foundation wishes to thank sponsors Cognizant and their team, whose kindness and generosity has been key in bringing the dream of the Atlas DigiBus to life.

The Atlas Foundation is delighted to have handed the Atlas DigiBus over to the Vusa Academy, a Bishops’ school initiative. We know that the Atlas DigiBus will have a profound impact on the children who use it, a tool to give them the chance to thrive.

The Atlas Foundation’s Founder and Chairman, Jason Leonard OBE, said: “I’m delighted that the Atlas DigiBus has been handed over to the Vusa Rugby and Learning Academy. The Atlas DigiBus will mean children in Langa are able to develop essential digital literacy skills, providing them with the chance to thrive”
