The Atlas Foundation South Africa hands over Rugby Field and Posts to Ocean View High School On Tuesday 3rd August, The Atlas Foundation South Africa was proud to handover a rugby field and posts to Ocean View High School in Cape Town. History This project has been three years in the planning and has resulted in a stunning pitch for children of all ages to use. This is in stark contrast to how the field looked originally, with it being overgrown and unusable. Atlas Foundation Founder and Chairman, Jason Leonard OBE, and Atlas Trustee, Michael Whitfield, visited Ocean View and decided that the charity would assist the school and the community in working towards creating their first ever rugby field and posts. The field before The field now The Impact The Atlas Foundation have donated rugby jerseys to Ocean View High School and have constantly worked with Atlas coaches to ensure the children have stayed fit and were emotionally supported throughout the coronavirus pandemic. We hope that this new field will provide the children with new opportunities and perhaps spark a lifelong passion for the sport. This project will have a lasting impact on generations of children to come. “The Atlas Foundation is honoured to set down a sporting legacy that builds up pride and dignity in this vibrant community and which has the power to open up the opportunities for these young children” Jason Leonard OBE If you would like to learn more about the Atlas All School programme, please contact Sue Anderson at [email protected] Manage Cookie Preferences
