RUGBY VOLUNTEERING IN KENYA

Help the Atlas Foundation support kids in the Kibera slum in Nairobi through teaching assisstance and rugby coaching. Experience the warmth of African kindness, and work alongside our full-time teacher to deliver education, food and sport to the kids in the Kibera slum.

With volunteering opportunities from 2 weeks to 3 months, this is a great opportunity for anyone to get involved in helping some of the poorest children on earth to thrive.

WHAT IS THE ATLAS FOUNDATION?

The Atlas Foundation exists to help deprived children work towards a better future through rugby communities and initiatives. It is a launchpad for good and provides a platform that funds international projects that have a tangible impact on the daily lives of deprived young people.

Through feeding and education programmes and a large number of rugby initiatives, The Atlas Foundation provides safety, education, food, sport, guidance and community to thousands of children across five continents.

Founded & led by Rugby World Cup Champion Jason Leonard OBE, The Atlas Foundation’s work is led by the core rugby values of Integrity, Hard Work and Respect, and the Atlas Foundation is committed to getting practical help directly to those who need it. So far over £1 million has been raised, and over 50,000 children have been supported.

WHAT IS KRDA?

The Kings Rugby Development Academy is an Atlas Foundation partner working in areas of extreme poverty in Kenya.

KRDA provides children aged 5 to 16 in Kibera Slums with opportunities to access, train and participate in the game of rugby, through mini tag and rugby training.

The programme gives the children from the Kibera some of the life skills that will give them a route out of poverty. In addition to rugby skills and disciplines, KRDA also provides food and educational support for its boys and girls.
